Originally I thought to visit the Rochester Airshow and take pictures there but I changed my mind and took the tripod and camera to the Lower Falls and Seneca Park instead. I spend so much time in airplanes, why take more weekend time to photograph them?
Rachel often uses Lower Falls Park and nearby Maplewood Rose Garden as backdrops for portrait shoots. I assisted her on a few occasions each time thinking to go here on my own photo session sans models or couples. The Lower Falls are called the lower falls not because they are less in height but because they are downstream from the High Falls; at least, as far as I figured.
After I crossed Ave E bridge to see if there was a view from that side onto the falls I saw a boy, about 10 or 12 years old, on the sidewalk with bicycle difficulties. He called out to me: “Sir, do you know anything about bikes?” Why yes, it so happens I do. The chain had come off his mountain bike and the contraption with the rear derailleur was stumping him. I put the chain back on for him and put the bike in a lighter gear.
The pictures are as always in the gallery.
